Specialized Care
At Hippophile Farm, we pride ourselves in offering a professional, friendly, caring environment for your training and boarding needs. Board is offered for the seasonal customer or year-round as well. Please inquire with us about our availability and what you may be looking for. With a smaller number of horses at the farm, between 6-10 maximum, we are able to pay attention to the details and offer very specialized care. We develop a feed and turnout program that works for your individual horse. We work with the best quality local vets and farriers.

Boarding
We offer seasonal and year-round boarding for your special equine. Board includes a stall, bedding, feed, hay and daily turnout in herd-suitable pasture. Our 8-stall barn is attached to a 72×184 indoor arena with rubber/sand footing. The feed room, tack room and indoor/outdoor wash racks are open to use for all clients. We also have a full course of jumps within our 120×225 outdoor arena with sand footing. We have very safe Ramm fencing, a large field for open riding and plenty of trails to ride.
Lessons
Lessons can be taken either privately or with a group, on your horse or one of our seasoned lesson horses. We use fun exercises to help both horse and rider stay interested with the challenges at hand. Safety is a top priority at Hippophile Farm. We teaches all ages, all levels of riders.
Our lessons and training focuses on mental and physical confidence, trust and compassion. We create a diverse program that uses ground and saddle work with an emphasis on horsemanship, correct equitation and effective aids.
Training
When training the young horse, I use ground work to establish trust. By teaching the horse to work first at liberty, then lungeing, in-hand work, and ground driving. As these skills progress the horse is ready to be started under saddle. Then the fundamentals of dressage are implemented, combined with all the necessary work to bring the horse to a level of fitness required for the job they are being asked to perform.
Training includes a customized program based on an assessment of horses ability and current level of training, in conjunction with the goals of owner. If you need a young horse started correctly, or an older horse tuned up you have come to the right place.
Ocala, Florida
Kris spends the winter months training and showing in the Florida sunshine. Training and lesson services are available throughout the snowbird season for clients and horses.
